Damn, walked away from this shoot feeling privileged! After a intimate couch session (I say intimate not cause there was a red couch but due to the small crowd of about 12 in attendance), Henry and the Invisible, DJ M, and Mexicans with Guns opened up for Peanut Butter Wolf... a Legend, sincere person, and akward. everything I love in a "famous" person, especially one you should worship in person if you're a fan of hip-hop.

Well, aside from how awesome it is that you got to rub elbows, even if for a few minutes, with this living legend of hip hop culture (as a producer but also and mostly as the founder of one of the most groundbreaking labels of the genre), some of these shots are quite good - and I mean this beyond taste (in the sense that although I appreciate your photography as it is, there are some unquestionable technical thangs happenin' here). Those PBW portraits with that blue hallow for instance - the angle, composition, moments, and depth you chose, all of that is dope photography. Glad you were the one in there documenting some of this.
Oh, and although I partly hate to say/admit this: thanks to red bull (as much as scion) for making these gatherings happen (despite their core corporate agenda). Money doesn't make the culture go round but it sure helps with exposure...
grassy-ass. i really feel privileged. not that I had some super exclusive press pass but... i guess i kinda did since it was through Red Bull. and your right. I havent seen scion do shit in San Anto since the economy went to shit, but RB has held in there. their involvement in music, dance, production, sports, WorldWide is rather mindblowing.
